Dear pilot,
if you have already received your reward, ignore the next lines, if you haven't received it yet pay close attention!
Before we send out any rewards we want to make sure your address is still the same as the one listed on BackerKit.
The problem is that even if you confirm the address on BackerKit today, the order confirmation date doesn't change: it remains the date of payment (on average October 2020, about a year ago).
You may even offend us but the cost of shipping is so high these days that we can't afford a return from America, what with customs costs, storage costs, etc...
Before we ship a reward we want to make sure your address is unchanged and that you are responsive to emails, so that if the courier can't find you and the item goes into storage, we have a way to notify you and you to pick it up in person. (Reducing the time and cost of storage)
So please write a simple email to [email protected] with the subject "address confirmation" and we'll proceed with delivery.

For all the stores that during the Kickstarter have pledged "Admiral" or in the pre-order have chosen one of the store deals we would like to let you know that we are available to help you promote MechaTop gaming!
Building a community of MechaTop wargamers around your store will surely lead to a surge in Gunpla sales and more. Modelers, in fact, seeing that they can use their models in a board game, have one more excuse to buy new ones.
We have about 9,000 supporters/enthusiasts on our Facebook page and over 2,000 on our Instagram page.
We believe that many people are held back from buying because of shipping costs, so advertising (through a post) your store on our page could motivate many people to come to you to purchase MechaTop and more... increasing your customer base!
We're also willing to do a video conference event once you've gathered people who are interested, but first want to understand how the game works.
In case you don't know, each base set contains two digital rewards that we will provide to the buyer at the time of purchase. Simply tell the buyer to register their purchase by sending us a simple email at [email protected]
More specifically:
- Unlimited access to the database that contains officially played mecha cards, fan-created ones (over 600 in total) and various tools to create your own custom mecha cards, plus many optional and specific rules for certain mecha types (e.g. Evangelion, Gurren Lagann...) - You can find yours in the BackerKit download area, it's called "Database Host License".
- A virtual ticket to participate in the MechaTop World Tournament, which we will organize in the coming months.
The envelope that you found in your package contains the "Tournament Host License" that legitimizes you to organize any kind of local event/tournament, with our support. We will in fact share your initiatives on our social networks, to legitimize it even more and bring you new potential customers.

Waiting for 294 address confirmations

Dear pilot,
we are waiting for the confirmation of your address in the following way: write a simple email to [email protected]with subject "address confirmation".
Confirming your address on Backerkit does NOT generate any notification and above all the date of confirmation remains that of the payment (it is not updated), so there is no confirmation of the address.
So please send us an email.
We look forward to getting your reward to you and completing the shipping phase.

Dear pilot,
We are pleased to announce that to date we have completed all shipments to confirmed addresses: 150 shipments, 33% of the total.
It has come to our attention that pledges with a basic set and a playmat (2 packages), very often arrive at two different times... But they arrive!
You can always check your order by connecting to the BackerKit page and clicking on "view confirmation" button:

Not having received your reward yet can be an advantage: you're still in time to add something to it and pay for a single shipment.
...unfortunately we are noticing that many backers, after receiving the base set, place another order for solo mode cards, or transparent bases, or other books...
It's a pity because in this way you come to pay an additional shipping...

Delivery update

Dear pilot,
As promised last Friday we went looking for a new supplier for local and European shipping and we found him! GLS
On Monday we signed the contract, received our credentials to work in their shipping site....
We save about 1,5€/2€ per shipment...
But we have to enter all the data of the shipment in their system, while before our brokerage agency did it...
OK, more than acceptable.
Regarding the problem of volumetric weight in shipments with only one play mat, we solved it by using a special wrap-around cardboard that protects the mat and once covered with tape becomes very resistant.
So from Monday afternoon to last night we got busy making boxes and made and shipped 30 more: 8 to those who offered us coffee and 22 random ones, determined by the roll of the dice.
So now we are at 50% of deliveries to confirmed addresses.
Francesca also hand-delivered the "Shop deal" reward to the our city's historic store, facilitating an immediate sale.
She then took the opportunity to make a hilarious meme on the spot!

First week of shipments

Dear pilot,
Over these three days we have been very busy and have prepared and shipped 30 rewards (25% of the confirmed addresses):
- 7 offered coffees/Patreon
- 23 randomly backers/pre-orders
(+4 local picking)
...and yeah, the price are slightly different: we spent 45€ more than expected. 😢
In the parcels that contain only the basic set, we had put the 1kg rate, but with the box and everything it weighs 1.2 kg and therefore goes into the next rate. In Italy it costs us 9 (instead of 7) while for example in America 21 (instead of 18).
In the packages that contain the basic set plus only a play mat we pay the cost for the volumetric weight of 11 KG instead of 7 (estimated by us). The actual weight would be about 5 kg.
I know we are talking about a few euros but multiplied by 450 shipments becomes an amount that can not be ignored. (Especially after the latest 4,1k of unforeseen customs expense due to a misrepresentation.)
So we decided to take a day off from shipping to look for a solution: either a different, cheaper supplier, or, in the case of shipping with play mats, consider whether it would be better to ship a tube and a box instead of such a large box. 🤓
Regardless, those offering the 5 coffees will get immediate shipping, as £5 covers the difference in shipping in any scenario. 🥳
